User DJ JonDent has posted another cool time lapse mod video, this time showing the hacking of our favorite little noisemaker, the Korg Monotron Delay.

The Delptronics LDB1e Analog Drum Eurorack Module
Delptronics released a new video demonstrating the first of two Drum Machines they are planning to release under the "Little Drummer Boy" moniker. The LDB-1e “Little Drummer Boy” Module is a Eurorack counterpart to the planned LDB Stand alne drum machine. The 8-Voice Module has, you guessed it, 8 analog drums in 4HP wide euro module and is capable of 8-voice polyphony.
From Delptronics' site:
"The module uses totally analog circuitry, not samples. Our goal was to recreate the warm sounds of the classic analog drum machines of the 80's, like the Roland TR-606, TR-808 and TR-909. The circuitry of the LDB-1e uses the same principals as the classics and produces a very similar sound.
The module contains the same drum circuitry found in the Delptronics LDB-1 Drum Machine, which is a complete drum machine including a sequencer.
All drums can be played simultaneously, including open and closed hi-hat for a super punchy cymbal Connect it to any sequencer or clock source. Built-in gate to trigger converter. A square wave of any duty cycle will trigger the drums. So, there is no need to generate a 5MS trigger pulse.
An expansion module will be available in the future providing individual output and volume control for each instrument.
I am eagerly awaiting the release of the stand alone LDB-1, how about you?
